BAKS is a socially conscious jewellery company launched by Kirsten Bak.

Kirsten Bak is a jewellery design graduate from the the German design school Fachhochschule Idar-Oberstein, and is a recipient of among others, The Inhorgenta Innovation Award in Munich in 2006, and The Danish Art and Crafts Association's ”Håndfuglen” (The Hand Bird) prize in 2008.

Kirsten has since 2006 worked exclusively with Fair Trade metal from sustainable mining. Her jewellery is sold in 10 European countries and the USA, at among others the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao and Les Arts Décoratifs in Paris.

The expression of BAKS is a combination of a classic look mixed with an innovative composition of materials.

Member of the Danish Arts and Crafts Association.

 

`Creating piece of jewellery is to us about the fascination with form, detail and material.
It becomes a sculpture that you can wear on your finger, ear or maybe around you neck.
And thus becoming a part of a unique personality´.
